My First Month Of Blogging

I just realized that it's been a month since I started blogging and I can say that it has been a completely positive experience. Even if it is a short period of time, I would like to write about what has turned this into a nice adventure.

Pasta Al Forno Con Spinaci (Baked Pasta With Spinach)

Last week we had for lunch a simple baked pasta with spinach. It was a simple meal but we absolutely loved it.

I would like to share with you this recipe even if it is very simple because it has a low cost but it is really tasty and wealthy ( a perfect Frugal Recipe ).

Moreover, I realized that there are some recipes we love but I regularly forget about them. I don't know why and I suppose that it is because I don't have an organized meal plan. Considering that I am trying to get more organized, I decided to post the recipe of our forgotten preferred frugal meals so that I could remember about them when I will write down my meal plan.

Last year we realized that we had to buy a new wardrobe because we just had one big wardrobe in our children's bedroom and it was really too full even if we started decluttering.

I considered all the options: new ( cheap ones ) or used.

Unfrugal choice, but it is worth it!

This seems to be a non frugal week for many people. In fact, today,  while I was thinking of writing about the unfrugal decision we took yesterday, I read a certain number of posts about non frugal adventures that happened to a lot of very frugal people. This makes me feel better because I was a little annoyed about the unfrugal  decision we had to take yesterday, even if I am sure that it is worth it. We all have to accept that there are some events that cannot be submitted to our Frugal Control.

My weekend starts on Friday afternoon when I come back from work and I pick up my son at school.

It is a lovely feeling to know that for two days I don't have to go to work and that I will have more time to spend with my family and to enjoy what I love.

I decided to dedicate my Friday post to two or three little things that made my week special.

We would like to teach our children to...

Since we decided that we had to pay attention to our lifestyle as we really wanted to enjoy our life and become a Frugal Family, we tried to focus our attention on the simple things and we found that there is a large amount of small things that can save us money over the time.

Actually,  every little amount adds up and even a small amount of 10 Euro each month turns into 120 Euro a year and in 1.200 Euro for a period of 10 years!!!!

This is a great occasion as, even if I try to take a list of all my grocery expenses, I am not very organized and I usually arrive at the end of the month with an approximate amount of expenses....I need some self-discipline and this Challenge is a very good occasion to keep me on the right path.

I really think that everybody has some simple recipes that are identifying their family meals. This Frugal Homemade Béchamel Sauce is one of these for us.

Yes, I know that it does not include all the ingredients of the traditional recipe, but we find our version lighter and more frugal and we absolutely love it.

This white sauce is perfect if you want to cook lasagne or any type of baked pasta (with vegetables or with cheese, for example). I'm sure that you will appreciate its delicate and simple taste.

Can reading magazines be a frugal activity?

I used to buy magazines a lot of years ago, not so many, but I liked to occasionally read something about cooking, home improvement or travel ( and yes, it was before having the possibility to read almost everything online ). 

When we embraced a more frugal lifestyle, we gave up buying magazines as we did not consider it a need and we thought that we always had the possibility to look for new ideas online.

However, I have to confess that sometimes I am missing the pleasure of flipping through a magazine.
